May 28 2009 Ladies Marathon Social Night
The Ladies of Arklow Town Football Club Juniors, having taken to the streets of the capital this coming Bank Holiday Monday, participating in the Evening Herald / Flora Women's Mini Marathon, will return to Arklow later in the evening to host a (loosely termed!) "Social Night" in Darcy Magee's on Main Street. All are welcome to attend, and indeed support the Ladies, from 8pm onwards. Rumour has it that the entertainment lined up is rather special, indeed "second to none" was a quote heard just the other evening, in anticipation. No further details can be revealed at this time - simply a case of BE THERE! Darcy Magee's, 8pm onwards, Monday June 1. Best of luck to all Arklow Town Ladies taking part in the Mini Marathon. If you would like to sponsor the Ladies, please contact Sharon Kenny at 085 1498588 or Fiona Ledwith at 087 4110305 for further details.
Apr 17 2009 Play your cards right for €2,500!
Time oncemore to test your card playing skills in aid of Arklow Town FC, with the forthcoming Texas €2,500 Hold 'Em Tournament, to be held in Kitty's of Arklow, on the town's Main Street on Sunday, May 10th next. The previous Texas Hold 'Em promotions in aid of the Club were both widely enjoyed by all who attended and no doubt many will be practising a few moves in advance of this next fundraiser! Keep those straight faces when there's three Aces buried! Registration commences from 4.30pm on the day, with the 'card sharks' taking to the tables at 5.00pm. Buy in's cost €50. For ticket information, please contact either Myles Rowan at 086 8329486 or Tony Breslin at 087 2348900.
Apr 6 2009 Get those runnin' shoes on Girls!
Arklow Town Football Club Juniors are looking to the backbone of many teams - the mammies! - to take to the streets of Dublin next June Bank Holiday Monday and participate in the Flora Women's Mini Marathon (in association with the Evening Herald). A good number of women have already volunteered to walk the event, raising vital funding for our many under age sides. If anyone out there knows that money doesn't grow on trees then it's the mammies! Please contact Sharon Kenny at 085 1498588 or Fiona Ledwith at 087 4110305 for further details.
