July 23 Happy Birthday Eoin!!!

July 21 Happy Birthday James!!!
Birthday greetings today to 11 year old James Shannon.  James is a key member of last season's U10B team that went close to Shield success and no doubt will be fired up to go oncemore when the new season starts in a few week's time.  We have absolutely no doubt that James has spent the early part of his summer holiday's tidying his bedroom!  Isn't that right, James?!  From everyone at the Club, James - we wish you a happy eleventh birthday!!!

July 16 Happy Birthday Liam!!!
Birthday greetings today to 7 year old Liam Shaw.  Liam has just completed his first season playing at Under 8 level, having emerged through the 6's and 7's Club.  Liam loves his football and away from Arklow Town he loves watching Manchester United.  He spent the day before his birthday at Lamberton watching Arklow Town playing Sheffield United and no doubt Liam will have learnt a thing or two from the older boys, and will take those new skills into the new season which is now just a few weeks away!  From everyone at the Club, Liam - we wish you a happy seventh birthday!!!

May 8 Happy Birthday Conor!!!
Birthday greetings today to 10 year old Conor Breslin.  Another of Town's exciting 9A team, Conor is firing on all cylinders this season, with the team gunning for honours on all fronts.  Currently enjoying a little bit of foreign sunshine Conor will return to team action with a Shield Final, a Cup Final and a League play off awaiting him.  From everyone at the Club, Conor - we wish you a happy tenth birthday!!!

May 3 Happy Birthday Aaron!!!
Birthday greetings today to 8 year old Aaron Bermingham.  Aaron plays with the new U8D team who entered Shield competition earlier this year after all players had come through the club's 6's and 7's Club.  Indeed, Aaron had the distinction of scoring the first ever goal for his team, firing home from outside the box, much to the delight of all involved with the 8D team!  From everyone at the Club, Aaron - we wish you a happy eighth birthday!!!

Apr 24 Happy Birthday David!!!
Birthday greetings today to 10 year old David Kealy.  David is revelling this season in a fine U9A team that is gunning for league, shield and cup honours.  David's other love, apart from keeping his bedroom immaculately tidy, is Manchester United and he's hoping they can pip Chelsea to the Premier League title.  In fact, a bit like his own team, hoping to pip Wicklow Rovers A to the U9 Premier division league title!  From everyone at the Club, David - we wish you a happy tenth birthday!!!

Birthday greetings today to 11 year old David Thomas.  David is the number one keeper for the 10B team and is goalkeeper MAD!  Rumour has it that he has received a Shay Given shirt for his birthday today, which should please David.  He also loves Manchester United and apparently hates the Glazers!  Who knows, if he saves all his pocket money in the years ahead he might have the price of..... one of those "Norwich City" scarves!  From everyone at the Club, David - we wish you a happy eleventh birthday!!!

Mar 10 Happy Birthday Darragh!!!
Birthday greetings today to 6 year old Darragh Mills.  Darragh is the younger brother of 11A player Stewart and is hoping to follow in big brother's footsteps.  Indeed he is sooooooooooo looking forward to the 6s and 7s Club re-opening its doors on Saturday March 27, where he will join many other boys and girls, having fun and enjoying his first steps in football.  Rumours of him having a night on the (bathroom, showers and) tiles to celebrate his big day are greatly exaggerated!  From everyone at the Club, Darragh - we wish you a happy sixth birthday!!!

Birthday greetings today to 37 year old Brendan Kenny.  Even though rapidly approaching the Big 4-0, Mr. Kenny still has a fancy for dressing in ladies undergarments and taking to local stages in song.  Mr. Kenny also has a grá for the Clonmel Apple Growers Association and we are in no doubt whatsoever that on this fine day Mr. Kenny will do his very best to continue his support for the apple growers in the Tipperary orchards.  Farmville, anyone?  Happy Birthday, Brendan!

Feb 27 Happy Birthday Sean!!!
Birthday greetings today to 7 year old Sean Markey.  Sean plays on the new U8F team and is thoroughly enjoying his football since coming through the 6s and 7s Club.  Sean is planning a big birthday we hear with a day out in the Leisure Centre playing football and having the odd slice of cake with his friends.  From everyone at the Club Sean we wish you a happy 7th birthday!

Feb 27 Happy Birthday Shane!!!
Birthday greetings today to 18 year old Shane Murray.  Shane, a quiet serious type, not the kind of character to enjoy a little play acting from time to time, turns a rather serious 18 today.  Currently employed over in England at Sheffield United Football Club, a mass exodus has taken place in Arklow with family members all heading over to the Yorkshire city to celebrate Shane's big day.  Shane has been working hard on his moves and after a spot of line dancing tonight with the family it's off to the Bingo in downtown Sheffield.  Sean Bean and Joe Elliott have been drafted in tonight to call out the numbers.  Happy Birthday Shane!

Birthday greetings today to 40 year old James Moore.  James, who played with the Town in his youth, is more renowned these days for his exploits in the boxing ring, and has done pretty well for himself since making the big move to the USA some years back.  Nephews Liam, Owen and Paul wish him a happy birthday and are looking forward to seeing him home sometime soon!

Feb 17 Happy Birthday Darragh!!!
Birthday greetings today to 10 year old Darragh Walker.  Darragh plays on the 9A team, through to a title play off decider versus Wicklow Rovers A.  Darragh hardly gets a spare minute as if he's not playing football, he's off playing hurling or some other sport.  Note how we didn't say he spends time tidying his bedroom....  From everyone at the Club Darragh we wish you a happy 10th birthday!

Feb 17 Happy Birthday Caoimhe!!!
Birthday greetings today to 6 year old Caoimhe Breslin.  Caoimhe is the younger sister of U9A player Conor Breslin and she is hoping her bigger brother can land the WDSL U9 Premier Division League title before the year is out!  Caoimhe, word has it, is actually a better footballer than her bigger brother - like a lot of the girls who enjoy the Arklow Town Girls Academy, better than the brothers!!  From everyone at the Club Caoimhe we wish you a happy 6th birthday!  Enjoy your day.

Birthday greetings today to 46 year old Paul Breslin.  Paul has been associated with Arklow Town Football Club for a long time now.  Some might say a very very VERY long time - indeed Paul was playing for the club in the last millennium and as was witnessed in the Managers match two season's ago still retains a decent touch on the ball.  For an oul fella.  So, from us all at the Club - Happy Birthday Paul and don't worry about the Fire Brigade outside the door waiting for you to blow out all 46 candles.  Simply, precautionary methods!

Birthday greetings today to 9 year old Callum Randall.  Callum is enjoying his football very much this season, playing with the U8A team - a team pretty much full of characters it is fair to say.  Best wishes for his 9th birthday come from his fellow U8A team mates, with each and every one of them wishing Callum a happy birthday.  So, from us all at the Club - Happy Birthday Callum!

Jan 12 Happy Birthday Darren!!!
Birthday greetings today to 13 year old Darren Beevor.  Darren plays for the 12A team and is thoroughly looking forward to a good second half of the season with the team challenging on all fronts, in both domestic and national competition.  Darren, for his sins, is also a fan of Merseyside's second or third best team, Liverpool FC - the team the evolved from Merseyside's greatest club, Everton, back in 1891.  It's been not quite that long since his beloved Reds actually won a League title but we're reliably informed that Darren cannot remember seeing his team win the League.  Long may that continue!!!  Happy Birthday Darren!

Dec 23 Happy Birthday Shane!!!
Birthday greetings today to 12 year old Shane Beevor.  Shane was one of the 12A scorers recently in the SFAI Norton Cup 4th Round clash away at Abbeyleix Athletic, his two goals going a long way to easing Town into the open draw where they now play host to DDSL side Cherry Orchard.  Shane is also a Chelsea fan for his sins but we won't hold that against him!  Happy Birthday Shane!

Dec 8 Happy Birthday Craig!!!
Birthday greetings today to 14 year old Craig Kinsella.  Craig more than played his part in Town's big win at the weekend, the U14's going through to the open draw, last 32, of the SFAI Goodson Cup.  Most will know Craig for his dodgy haircuts, being a bit of a fashion icon within the 14's squad!  Happy Birthday Craig!

Birthday greetings today to 11 year old Ross Hanley.  Ross might be disappointed with his team, Town 11A, having another game postponed earlier today but no doubt he'll be happy seeing his other team, the second best team on Merseyside, earning a fortunate derby win to keep the clown of a manager in a job for another while!  Happy Birthday Ross - Love, Mam Dad and little sis Katie xxx

Oct 6 Happy Birthday Garrett!!!
Birthday greetings today to 12 year old Garrett Kenny, recently returned from injury, and now restored to the U12B team.  Garrett would dearly love to see his beloved Tottenham Hotspur win the League one of these years but with that wish bordering on fantasy he'll quite happily settle for a title or two with the U12B's this season.  Garrett - in these recessionary times, your Mam and Dad say you can have the leftovers from Jamie's birthday cake when you get in from school!  Happy Birthday, Gar!
